In Education, We Are United.
Joanna, parent
After our son’s disappointing English mock result at the start if the year and his ongoing difficulties more generally with English Literature and English Language we called upon the guidance and tuition from Fleur West. We never looked back!
Fleur’s friendly upbeat nature, optimism and positivity was immediately apparent. She very quickly attuned to our son, identified gaps in his learning, engaged him in a way that worked for him and was hugely encouraging.
Most importantly are our son’s words which include;
Fleur’s helped me so much; she is friendly, funny and encouraging; l can ask her any questions; her explanations and teaching makes sense; l thought l was rubbish at English and didn’t know where to start with revision but since being tutored by Fleur l have felt confident going into my exams. Thank you Fleur!
We are certain that our son’s GCSE result will reflect Fleur’s commitment, passion and expertise in both English language and English Literature together with her natural ability to connect, enthuse and motivate a young person.
I would not hesitate to recommend Fleur’s English tuition as not only has she developed our son’s confidence and skills to tackle his English GCSEs but she has also given him the tools he needs for A’ Levels and beyond.
Always grateful to you Fleur!

I started tutoring with Fleur when I was predicted a grade 6 for both English literature and language. After less than an academic year of tuition, I’ve raised two grades and archived final grade 8’s. Fleur is very flexible with timing changes, always on time and makes sure we have enough sessions.
In sessions, Fleur is very patient and encouraging; always giving me prompts to answers and guiding me towards the right path. She’s very organised in sessions and has many resources that are always relevant and useful. When we mark my work together, Fleur is very detailed and has completely transformed my method of writing. I love that I could see immediate results from our sessions and I would say that 100% of the improvements I’ve made is because of Fleur’s teaching. My new ability to analyse text and write eloquently is still helping me with my Spanish A-levels and daily life even if I don’t do English in school anymoreNew Paragraph

Fleur is an absolutely brilliant tutor. She tutored me in English Literature for a year and I went from getting grade 4s and 5s in my mock exams to getting a grade 8 (A*) in my actual GCSE’s. She is very engaging and knowledgeable and really improved my English skills. She really supported me in the lead up to my GCSE’s and pushed me to do my very best.

I’m really happy and grateful that I have Fleur as my tutor because she had taught me a lot. English is not my first language and learning literature,poetry and comprehension is certainly a challenging to me but I manage to learn it and improve my writing skills because of how useful Fleur’s lesson is. I have had Fleur’s lesson for a year and I feel like I’m am so much more confident on English literature. Fleur’s lesson is very helpful I can always learn new skills from it like newvocabulary,pronunciation,linguistic techniques,analysis…etc
